⭐Event Coordinator Assistant
As an Event Assistant, you’ll help bring Hickory Ridge Orchard’s fall season to life by supporting our on‑farm events, school tours, and community outreach.
🌻 What You’ll Do
Farmers Market Prep — Help get the farmers market van packed, stocked, and ready for Columbia Farmers Market.
School Tour Support — Assist with running school tours, guiding groups, and ensuring all materials are prepared.
Event Setup — Help prepare on‑farm events throughout the orchard, from signage to activity stations.
Farmers Market Work — Work Saturdays at the Columbia Farmers Market, serving customers and representing the orchard.
Pop‑Up Events — Work off‑farm pop‑ups and community events, helping set up, serve guests, and manage sales.
General Event Support — Pitch in wherever needed to keep events running smoothly.
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable team member who enjoys serving guests, working with food, and keeping a clean, welcoming environment. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting and love making people smile, this role is a great fit.
⭐ Key Responsibilities
Customer Service — Greet guests with a smile, assist with menu choices, and provide a warm, positive experience.
Food Preparation — Heat, assemble, and serve food and beverages following quality, portion, and safety guidelines.
Cash Handling — Operate POS systems accurately, process payments, and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
Cleanliness — Maintain a clean workspace by sanitizing equipment, wiping counters, sweeping floors, and managing trash.
Inventory — Restock supplies, monitor inventory levels, and report shortages to management.
⭐Kitchen & Store Help
⭐ Essential Requirements
Proactive Problem‑Solving — Able to identify challenges and propose solutions without needing daily direction.
Communication & Teamwork — Works well with others and communicates clearly with guests and coworkers.
Basic Math Skills — Comfortable counting change and performing simple calculations.
Physical Stamina — Able to stand for long periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Reliability — Shows consistency, punctuality, and accountability in daily tasks.
