Job’s & Description:

🌽 Corn Cannon Responsibilities

  • Field Corn Collection — Walk the designated corn field area to gather whole, unbroken cobs suitable for reuse in the cannon.

  • Loading the Cannon — Place the collected cob into the cannon barrel correctly and safely.

  • Customer Demonstration — Teach guests how to aim, hold, and fire the cannon safely, including stance and trigger use.

  • Prize Bucket Monitoring — Watch for successful shots into the prize bucket and hand out the correct prize cards immediately.

  • Safety & Flow — Keep guests behind the firing line, maintain an orderly queue, and enforce all posted safety rules.

  • Setup & Closing — Prepare the cannon area each morning and secure it properly at closing.

🎪Corn Maze Tent & Jump Pillow Responsibilities

  • Rule Enforcement — Ensure kids follow jump pillow rules (age separation, no flips, no roughhousing).

  • Corn Maze Checkpoint Cards — Hand out checkpoint cards and remind guests to fill them out for the end‑of‑season prize drawing.

  • Snips Distribution — Provide guests with snips for cutting sunflowers and pumpkins, ensuring they understand how to use them safely.

  • Hayrack Ride Safety — Keep an eye on guests near the hayrack ride path and make sure everyone stays clear and safe when the wagon is passing by.

  • Guest Guidance — Direct visitors to activities, restrooms, orchard paths, and festival zones with friendly, clear communication.

  • Table Cleanliness — Keep the tent table neat, wiped down, and stocked with corn maze cards throughout the shift.

🚂Train Driver Responsibilities

Must be 16 years or older. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with children and can confidently assist riders while safely operating the train.

Shifts Available:

  • Saturdays: 1:30pm–6:00pm

  • Sundays: 9:30am–1:30pm and 1:30pm–6:00pm

🚜Hay Ride Driver Responsibilities:

  • Must be 16 years or older

  • Must be comfortable driving a tractor with a wagon attached

  • Help guests on and off the wagon

  • Ensure all riders follow wagon rules and remain seated

  • Be friendly and able to talk with customers

  • Direct guests where needed around the orchard

  • Required to help with Sunday closing duties, including:

    • Picking up trash

    • Gathering corn

    • Breaking down tents

  • Shifts Available:

  • Saturdays: 1:30pm-6:00pm

  • Sundays: 10:00am–1:30pm and 1:30pm–6:30pm

Essential Requirements to Join Our Team!

  • Proactive Problem‑Solving — Able to identify challenges and propose solutions without needing daily direction.

  • Communication & Teamwork — Works well with others and communicates clearly with guests and coworkers.

  • Basic Math Skills — Comfortable counting change and performing simple calculations.

  • Physical Stamina — Able to stand for long periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Reliability — Shows consistency, punctuality, and accountability in daily tasks.

  • Trash Patrol — Pick up trash immediately, even if dropped by a customer.

  • Shared Responsibility — Maintain a clean, welcoming orchard environment at all times.

  • Friendly Direction — Offer clear guidance when guests look confused or ask where something is.

  • Activity Knowledge — Know the layout well enough to confidently point out the corn maze, sunflower fields, donut tent, slushies, hayrides, and restrooms.

  • Customer Experience — Be proactive—if someone looks lost or unsure, step in with a smile and help.
